The Chinese phone maker Oppo, has launched a new low-cost smartphone dubbed as Joy Plus. As of now, availability is only made known for India market. The Oppo Joy Plus is priced at Rs 6,990 ($112 USD) and it is expected to go on sale before end of this week. Oppo are known and well recognize when it comes in making high budget smartphones e.g N3, R5 e.t.c but it seems the firm are venturing into low cl@.s.s segment. We noticed this when they launched A31 last week which is also an entry-level smartphone. Specwise, the Joy Plus features a 4-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) IPS display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box topped with ColorOS 2.0. It is powered by a dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor clocked at 1.3GHz alongside with 1GB of RAM. The device support dual-SIM functionality with 3G. It packs a 4GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card and offers Bluetooth, Wifi, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, and Micro-USB as connectivity options. The Joy Plus comes with a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash while there is also a VGA front-facing camera onboard for video calling. It is backed by a 1700mAh Li-ion battery. The Oppo Joy Plus will be available in White and Blue color variants only.
