Lava Launches Iris 414 With Android 4.4 KitKat And 3G At $65

Lava has added a new low cost smartphone to its Iris category in India, the Iris 414. The phone is listed on the firm website with a price tag of Rs 4,049 ($65 USD) while availability details is not revealed. However, we expect it to set sail in coming days. The Lava Iris 414 offers dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor (unknown chipset) topped with 512MB of RAM. The smartphone touts a 4-inch TFT display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels and comes with a 4GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card. There is a 3.2-megapixel fixed-focus camera at the rear while it is also equipped with a 0.3-megapixel camera at the front for video calling. Connectivity option provided with Iris 414 are Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, FM radio, and Micro-USB. It is powered by a 1400mAh battery which according to Lava can deliver up to 12hrs of talk time and 126hrs of standby time.
